Problem
ADT is known for providing residential electronic security and fire protection. However, the commercial side of their business, ADT commercial, which was later sold and rebranded as Everon, isn’t well known. Due to its lack of web presence, Everon was falling behind in the marketplace.

Understanding the Client
ADT is a household name when it comes to personal security. However, their commercial business side, ADT Commercial, was struggling to grow.
ADT Commercial had been around for two years when they came to us for a redesign. Within those two years, they had some success, but due to the tough competition, they realized they needed to step up their game.
The goal of the website redesign was to position ADT Commercial, AKA Everon, as an industry leader by advertising its suite of services and thought leadership articles. All of which will help increase lead generation.
Strategic Insights
The following insights formed the backbone of the design strategy that impacted the information architecture, wireframes, and final UI designs.
Stakeholder Research
Using surveys and Interviews, we learned a lot from various stakeholders who had very high expectations for the new website. Lead generation was the highest priority.
Learning from the Competition
The former site navigation lacked proper grouping of services, making it confusing and slow to use. We had to redesign it to increase the findability of content while reducing the number of clicks.
Old School Navigation
We looked at Everon's competitors and compared their websites across 5 different categories. While Everon had good content it had poor layout, clunky interaction design, and bad imagery.
Private Equity Accqusition
ADT Commercial was sold and rebrand as Everon half-way through the web redesign process. We had to shift our strategy based on new stakeholders and bold business objectives.

Impact
The final site was not only beautiful but also a powerful lead generation tool. Everon got lots of organic traffic, which helped increase brand awareness. The slick design of the pages led to lots of forms being filled out. Finding content was streamlined due to the robust site search feature. Overall, the site pleased both stakeholders and end users, which helped the business grow.
Takeaways
With its sleek, intuitive, and user-centric website, that easily promotes a variety of services and helpful articles, Everon can help any commercial business with their security, fire, and life safety needs.
This project taught me to be very critical of my work. I did this by constantly asking myself: 'How does this benefit the business and its customers?' Asking this question for every component I designed forced me to stay grounded. After all, I am not designing for myself, so it's not about what I want.
